Ok, so we bought a few experimental coffees from Ethiopia. While anaerobic and carbonic has become fairly common in many origins, we haven't brought any in from Ethiopia yet. First up is an anaerobic natural from the Yirgacheffe region via Atlantic Specialty Coffee. This coffee is loud. An avalanche of fruit, fermentation, and dark chocolate.
When we get a coffee like this into the warehouse, we often will cut it to make it just a bit more approachable. While the coffee straight up is fun and funky, it's not a coffee that we'd go back for a second cup of. That said, we all love the cut version of these coffees and Altered Anaerobic is our foray into providing our customers a fun coffee, how we like to drink it. Tons of fruit and dark chocolate, syrupy body, and added clarity from a coffee that everyone loves - Brazil Baixadao.
